1987 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe

One of the originals. Original supercars, original turbos, original icons. Surely most of us had a first-gen Porsche 911 Turbo – internally codenamed 930 – on our bedroom wall at some point? Not least because it lived a 15-year life, a span few cars in history can claim.

This 1987 Porsche 911 Turbo coupe was purchased new via the Tourist Delivery program. Finished in special-order Orange Pearl Metallic over black leather upholstery, the car is powered by a turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, a limited-slip differential, four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated disc brakes, a sunroof, a “tea tray” rear spoiler, heated front sport seats, and an Alpine Bluetooth stereo.

The car is reportedly one of three special-ordered (L999) from the factory in three-stage Orange Pearl Metallic by the owner of Autohaus Fortense in Forsyth, Illinois. Exterior details include a sunroof, headlight washers, fog lights, a front lip spoiler, a “tea tray” rear spoiler, black rear-fender stone guards, a rear window wiper, and dual exhaust outlets.

The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists factory colors and equipment, drivetrain numbers, and a production completion date of April 22, 1987. Owner’s manuals, service records, and spare floor mats will also accompany the car along with tool, tire-inflation, and car-care kits.
